Meet Carolina

Carolina Carreteiro is an arts professional based between Brazil and Germany.

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, she boasts extensive experience in the commercial gallery business, having held positions at renowned institutions such as Fortes D´Aloia Gabriel, Nara Roesler, and Koenig Galerie.

Additionally, she has contributed her expertise to the world's largest art digital platform, Artsy, where she played a pivotal role in nurturing and expanding the company's gallery relationships across Europe.

Carolina has successfully placed artworks by renowned artists such as Katharina Grosse, Alicja Kwade, Luiz Zerbini, Erika Verzutti, and others into significant collections worldwide, spanning from Lebanon to the United States.

Furthermore, she has collaborated closely with a select group of artists, including Adriana Varejao and Lucia Laguna, in the planning and execution of both commercial and institutional exhibitions.

Carolina Carreteiro holds an MA with Distinction in Cultural Development from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her creative work is centered on the equitable comparison and expansion of potential narratives, bridging the gap between the global North and South.

Carolina's written work, interviews, and essays have received international recognition.
